Look at those kids. Back in my time, that would have been different. Or how George Orwell liked to say: ”Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.”

But why do we always compare “then” and “now”? Why do we think it was always better, back in the "good Ol’ days”? Was it better?
