About
Work
My experience comes from leading and building teams for over a decade, most within the Tech, IT and SaaS market and in different company forms:
SMBs: (e.g. Graphax)
Startups and Silicon Valley unicorns (e.g. Evernote, Coople),
Corporations (e.g. Microsoft, Swisscom)
In my actual role at Graphax I'm the COO (Chief Operating Officer). Responsible for over 60 people within the departments Customer Service, Logistics and Customer Success. Setting strategies and KPIs (OKRs), Establishing a new a customer centric strategy; Re-Organisation and digital transformation.
Teaching
Besides my work in companies, i’m a University lecturer / Speaker on topics like "Leadership”, "NewWork and Transformation", "Digital Ethics" and “Storytelling” at various Universities in Switzerland.
(ZHAW, HWZ, UX Schweiz and others)
Family!
Partner in crime with her, we’re managing our lives and the ones of our three boys. I live and work around Zürich, spending my time with my family, large amounts of Flat Whites, reading books (currently this and this and this), listening to my amateuresque vinyl collection (but this, this or this does it too), organizing pen-and-paper gamenights of “Dungeons & Dragons” or dueling my kids in a game of “supersmash brothers”
(if you know, you know).
Side-Projects
In 2017, I Co-founded the fashion brand Pin Friends, creating small pieces of art, allowing people to express themselves. Collaborations with some of the most relevant artists and creatives.
I run my own Digital Magazine on work 4.0, culture, trends and how to stay productive, over at Volt & Gestalt. The Newsletter got featured by Mailchimp as “Out of the Ordinary”.
My Quest
Everyone has a purpose or quest. Mine is this: We shouldn’t get used to shitty experiences. We get used to it being hard to get around the city. We get used to repressive career ladders and jobs. We get used to dysfunctional teams and non-agile leadership. We get used to unethical products and bad services. It takes new perspectives, ideas and teamwork to keep pushing. Creating such perspectives is the quest I’m following. I do this as a COO, People Leader, Teambuilder, customer experience advocate, Digital Ethicist, Lecturer and father.
